After a successful collaboration on a beautiful bluestone patio, pergola, and cooking station, our homeowners eagerly partnered with Gasper again for the next item on their wish list: a pool.
Phase 1 (Before) to Phase 2 & 3(After)
The first phase of work involved the design and build of a curvilinear bluestone patio, large enough to create three distinct outdoor rooms: one for dining under a pergola, one for comfortable seating around a fire table, and one for cooking with a masonry cook station.
After building a beautiful patio, John and Judy moved forward with expanding their outdoor space by adding a patio for a pool and a raised spa. Gasper designed this new area to integrate seamlessly with the original patio. Once the pool was completed, they proceeded to finish the barn structure as part of Phase Three, which you can see beyond the pool.

Travertine Pool Paving
Our experienced designers, understanding the family’s desire for safety and comfort, recommended switching from the Pennsylvania bluestone used on the patio to travertine, another natural stone. Known for its cooler surface underfoot and slip-resistant properties, travertine is the perfect choice for families looking to enjoy their outdoor spaces safely, especially with children and grandchildren around.
Beyond the Border
Using the same border (Outer: Cambridge Ledgestone 4½ “×9” in Mocha and Inner: Roundtable 6 “×9” in Toffee/Onyx) creates a cohesive link between the upper Pennsylvania bluestone patio and the new travertine pool patio. Although the patios feature different main stones, this shared border stone establishes a sense of connection between the two spaces.
Raised Spa & Pool Wall
The gentle slope of John and Judy’s yard offered a unique opportunity to enhance the pool design. By incorporating a raised pool wall, Gasper’s design not only accommodated the elevation change but also created a beautiful seating area. This multifunctional wall allows guests to enjoy the edge of the pool, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and socializing.
Beautiful Kit Barn
Gasper carpenters constructed and assembled this beautiful barn from a kit purchased by the homeowner in New England. We also design and build pool houses, garages, three- and four-season rooms, and home additions.
