Kingsley Bate uses only premium-quality teak and precise mortise and tenon joinery in the construction of their furniture. While Kingsley Bate is renowned for its teak, its furniture designs have expanded to incorporate the finest stainless steel and all-weather wicker as well. The Chelsea Collection
The Chelsea collection has a classic transitional design that complements a broad range of architectural styles. The Chelsea pieces are generously proportioned, comfortable, and constructed from solid teak.
The Frances Collection
The chic, sloped arm styling of Frances is relaxed yet sophisticated. Seating pieces are deep and comfortable with plush, luxurious cushions. Frames are constructed from only the finest all-weather wicker and sturdy bases of solid teak hardwood.
The Hudson Collection
Our Hudson collection combines premium, solid teak frames with woven seating surfaces. Teak arms are beautifully rounded for understated refinement, and legs arch back with graceful flair. Natural Cord is designed to look like authentic Danish paper cord, using two distinct strands of all-weather wicker fiber interwoven in a classic pattern. Cushions on deep seating units are essential and offered in a variety of stain-resistant fabrics. Dining chairs are comfortable with or without a cushion. Also available is the Hyannis rectangular extension table.
The Lucia Collection
The slender and airy Lucia collection has a relaxed style that complements modern and traditional settings. Gracefully curved aluminum backrests are wrapped with weather-friendly rope in an open, vertical pattern. Beautifully sculpted bases are crafted from premium teak. Sling decking beneath the seat cushions offers just the right amount of spring.
The Sag Harbor Collection
Hand-crafted from the finest all-weather materials, our Sag Harbor dining and deep seating collection is a beautiful addition to any natural setting. The collection also includes a generous lounge chair, ottoman, loveseat, and dining. The piece is hand-woven using extra-large wicker fiber, making for heavier and more substantial seating than typical outdoor wicker pieces. Cushions are made with Sunbrella® or Outdura® fabric.

The St. Barts Collection
The St. Barts collection has a modern, livable style that can be assimilated into countless settings. Pieces are crafted from all-weather rope that has the natural look of authentic hemp rope yet the same durability as our other outdoor wicker furnishings. Frames are substantial and made from rustproof aluminum with solid teak wood feet. St. Barts coordinates perfectly with our broad assortment of teak dining and occasional tables.
The St. Tropez Dining Chairs
The roomy St. Tropez stacking chair complements the array of items offered in the St. Tropez line. Designed with a solid teak frame, aluminum hardware, and durable Phifertex® fabric, this chair is ideal in a restaurant setting or dining area where storage space is at a premium.
Committed to Environmental Responsibility
Preservation of the Earth’s ecological system is a major concern today. Indiscriminate deforestation of the Amazon Basin and other rainforests has led to widespread public suspicion of those companies in the teak industry. Kingsley Bate is the first American company to use Javanese teak in the manufacture of its furniture. Their teak is harvested from carefully controlled plantations established in Indonesia by the Dutch in the mid-19th century. The Indonesian government allows the felling of a limited number of trees each year and ensures that an equal amount of reforestation takes place. In 1983, Kingsley Bate, in conjunction with the Indonesian government and its people, undertook the development of a teak furniture program in Java. Since then, Indonesia and Kingsley Bate have shown that such a program can be implemented without detrimental effects on that country’s natural resources. Due to the increasing demand for this beautiful hardwood, Kingsley Bate now uses a select amount of Burmese teak in its productions. Whether Javanese or Burmese, you can be assured that they use only the finest quality teak in their furniture.
